Update on the day!
“Running the London
Marathon was an incredible experience. The support from the crowds, family and friends was phenomenal and knowing that I was surrounded by thousands of people all raising money for charity was so inspiring. I was very proud to be supporting OPA Cancer Charity, and am so pleased to know that every pound raised is going to such an important cause.
Huge thanks again for sending the t-shirt and fundraising pack – hopefully I can take on more fundraising events for OPA in the future :)”
A huge thank you to Daisy McInnerney for running the London Marathon 2026 in support of OPA Cancer Charity, and completing the 26.2-mile challenge in an impressive 4 hours and 5 minutes! Your support will make a meaningful difference to our work supporting those affected by oesophageal and gastric cancer.
Daisy’s Story
“OPA Cancer Charity supports thousands of people who have been affected by oesophageal and gastric cancer, including my lovely Aunt Carolyn. Carol has been supported by the OPA community as she navigates life post-surgery, and now does incredible work as an OPA Ambassador, helping spread the word about the Charity’s mission: to save lives and improve quality of life for people affected by oesophageal and gastric cancer.
I’m running the London Marathon to raise money for this wonderful charity who do such important work to raise awareness, drive early diagnosis and save lives.
